Getting into the swing of things

We finally made it to 2012! And I know I always say I've been busy, but holy cow, momma has us on a BUSY schedule! Mondays Cat and Halen go to class, Tuesdays momma works late and sometimes goes to club some books, then Weds *I* have class (the most important one!) and Turner has class and then momma-Impulse has class. Thursdays momma plays with clay, and Fridays she plays with us. Sometimes on Fridays we get to go herding! I am loving obedience classes, momma says I'm scary smart. I know this already, and I'm really good. I just sit and stare at her the whole time, which is obviously a really good thing...good thing, cause I like doing it! Anyways, I know you're saying it, get on with PICTURES! And yep, the pictures are all about me, momma said she's gonna do more blogging so you can catch the pics over there. :)





Momma got a new fireplace for Christmas. I think really she got me and my cats a fireplace. I LOVE being hot!



If the fire isn't on, I find other ways to stay warm. TUrner is not always cool with these decisions.




Apparently momma does not like me stealing stuff from the kitchen. Grampa made her this gate. It's Porterproof.



Momma took all us five dogs to You-Clue-Let. I'm not sure what clue you let do what, but that's where we were. We got to hang with our retriever friends James and Earl. They are very handsome. And Halen LOVES Earl, they are besties. Momma's friend took us to the beach, we had SO MUCH FUN! I pulled my groin though. I didn't do it on purpose and momma makes me rest now, but sometimes it's nice to just snuggle with her on the couch.

IknowIknowIknowIknow.  I'm just gonna blame momma on not lettin' me have the computer.  I really need my own computer, anyone wanna buy me one?

Wowsers, so, it's been a year since she let me blog! 

So, where to start, where to start.  Well first of all, now, I'm all smart and stuff!  I gots a title!  I am now *ahem* LookQuest Midnight Jurny RN!  How fancy is that?  I gots three big blue ribbons AND I gots a perfect score one time!  I don't really care, but it makes momma happy, and I like working with her, we're a good team.  I 'specially love that we get to go places just the two of us.  Yah, and some other dogs got their RNs last summer too, but whatever.  Halen got some big fancy herding puppy ribbon, but it's not a PERFECT SCORE!  I mean, c'mon, I'm obviously the smartest and best in the house.

Halen gots really really big, we're sorta still friends, but sometimes he makes me really angry and we swear at each other.  Momma says it's not nice, but we get along okay.

OH!  I guess the big news around here is that momma-Impulse moved out.  That's right, packed her  bags and headed east.  I hope we didn't do nothing wrong to make her leave.  I don't think so, she's living with gramma and grampa and old man Gambol.  Gambol was getting really neurotic and she's his companion now, she helps him relax.  (momma just giggled at my last sentence, but she won't explain why.  I think it's a human thing).

In the springtime momma went away for awhile.  Gramma stayed with us and it was fun (and Halen was REALLY bad!).  Momma told me about some really cool people and dogs that she got to stay with and that she got to meet all kinds of Cat's family!  I wonder how far away she went, Cat talks funny and says she's from another land so it musta been really really far.  I'm glad momma came back talking the same.  She says she was meeting Cat's baby daddy.  Again, the meaning of this was lost in the momma-Porter translation.  I guess I'll find out one day.

 I learned how to swim better, and I can swim without a life jacket now!  Oh wait, back up.  Last year momma bought us a swimmin' pool!  It's kinda scary cause it's really deep but wow oh wow is it fun!  And so cool in the summer.  So last year I had to wear a life jacket and momma had to help me because I couldn't jump in, it was too scary.  I started getting better at the end of the year though.  Then this year we swam in the
 river and I gots better at swimming. I can now jump right into the pool and am braver than Turner!  I love makin' the waters splash all over the place.  Halen had a lesson and he was pretty scareded, but he did real good.  He still has to wear a life jacket though.  I think it's cause he's got too many legs and his tail off balances him.  Must me, me 'n Turner are awesome swimmers!

Hmmmm, what else, what else.  So much has happened I don't even know what to tell you!

Cat's been getting lotsa special treatment and holy cow is it making her fat!  She must be getting some sorta really yummy treats that us boys don't know about.  Momma even gave her her own room, how unfair is that?!  She has her own special bed and her own special room and her own special blankets and her own special time with momma.  I don't get it.  Anyways, she better go on a diet soon, cause if not she's gonna pop!

I heard momma say something about kittens, fuzzy kittens to be precise, so maybe we're gettin' baby kitties!  I LOVE baby kitties!!

Anyways, I'm going to try to get this thing updated more often so I'm gonna go now.  Momma needs to feed us and my  tummy is rumbling.
